He is survived by: his wife Malea; his children, Derrick Smith (Tina), Carl Smith (Shanon) and Samantha Kelley (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Adan, Gavin, Mason, Fiona, Ardan and Lola; and his siblings, Chris Smith (Bev), Pam Raymond (Roy) and Paula Smith.
