He was predeceased by: his former wife Anja Dixon Averett; his parents, Ghean Knox Averett and Willodean Ramey Averett; and his sister Nancy Averett Connor. He is survived by: his fiancé Tracey Williams; his children, Allyson Averett (Cody Self) and Lucas Averett (Ashley Pennington); his pets, Cooper and Lily; and his siblings, Dr. Steve Averett (Vanessa), Elizabeth Averett Paschall and Anthony Scott Averett. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
