He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ezra Jones and Barbara Wyatt Jones. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Hankla Jones; his daughter Barbara J. Jones; his grandchildren, Jazmin Morrow and Makayla Jones; his siblings, James Jones (Judy), Regina Cline (Ernest), Jeffrey Jones (Barbara) and Bobby Jones (Kristi); his friend Larry Hawk; and his pet Paco. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
