He is survived by: his wife Mary Axie; his children, Sam Nelson (Melisa), Sharon Rush (Mike) and Richard Shelton; his grandchildren, Brandon Nelson, Dustin Shelton and Emma Kate Nelson; his sister-in-law Linnia Painter; his siblings, Geri Ball, Charlotte Tuton, Maggie Saults and Ken Nelson; and also, Robert Ryans, Bill Johnson, Bo Philips, Louise Timmons, Mona Stanton, Wayne Rupert, Dale Grant, Roger Jessee, Jim Powell and Freddy Nelson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
