He is survived by: his close friend Linda Womac; his children, Sybil Cody of North Carolina, Sonya Cody of North Carolina and Brisco Franklin of Iowa; his brother Lawrence Franklin (Linda) of Chuckey; his half-brother Bruce Gentry of North Carolina; his close friends, Bo Long, Alan Wilhoit, Dan Peltier and Junior Ward; and his pet Lulu.
