He was predeceased by: his parents, John Oval and Betty Frances Murphy; his siblings, Martha Todd, Patrica Shoemake, Jena Hesson, Brenda Taylor, Helen Ervin, William Matthews, Willie Matthews and Terry Murphy; and his grandson Tyler Durden.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Matthews of Liberty; his children, Debbie Nokes, Charlotte Parsley, Sherry Chandler (Wesley), Darlene Grisham, Tonya Cantrell (Shannon), Greg Matthews (Trudie), Priscilla Mingle (Bobby) and Chris Stanley (Dana); his grandchildren, Jessica Anderson (Shannon), Brandon Donnell (Kalah), Noah Parsley, Amanda England, Dillan Matthews, Hannah Grisham, Justin Grisham, Kaylee Cantrell, Levi Cantrell, Christian Matthews, Zachery Matthews, Austin McCoy, Nikki Pillow (Joey), Brittany Mingle (Gage), Zackary Stanley, Caleb Gingeridge, Harlee Stanley and Seth Stanley; his siblings, Pamela Cain (Kevin), Roy Matthews (Debbie), Randall Neal, Doug Murphy (Norma) and Kathy Murphy (Ruben Vega); and his siblings-in-law, Grady Taylor and Rita Matthews. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
