With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Earl Hughes (Lexington, Tennessee), born in Henderson, Tennessee, who passed away on January 7, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Kay Hughes; his parents, Robert Hughes and Marie Hughes; his stepfather Otha Eubanks; and his nephew Mark Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy E. Hughes and Leesa (David Coffman); his granddaughters, Kellye (Tyler Berkley) and Lindsey (Joseph McDonald); his great grandchildren, Adaline, Aspen McDonald and Atticus McDonald; and his brother-in-law Dr. Tony (Patty Scott).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Reed's Chapel (113 S West St, Decaturville, TN 38329). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sand Ridge Baptist Church (7535 US-412, Lexington, TN 38351). A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at the Sand Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request for donations to be given to Sand Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery Association.
