He was predeceased by : his parents, John Bud and Dorothy Dickson Duke; his former life partner Pamela Duke; his daughter Kristie Duke; and his siblings, Robert Gene Duke and Pat Butler.

He is survived by : his wife Kathy Duke; his children, Ladona Massengill (Jody), Paula Kristina Gilliland (Chris), Keith Duke (Tiffany), Kevin Duke (Roneice) and Rickie Duke; his stepsons, Scotty McKnight (Cassie), Shawn McKnight (Hannah) and Jonathan McKnight (Heaven); and his siblings, Darren Duke, Peggy Reeves, Floretta Renfroe and Theresa Duke. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Pentecostal Church of Darden (23033 US-412, Darden, TN 38328). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Darden Pentecostal Church (23033 US-412, Darden, TN 38328).
