He is survived by: his wife Julia McBee; his children, Jerry Townsend, Marilyn Nelson and Viola Davis; his grandchildren, Jazmyne Pruitt, Heather Bailey, Bradley Goodman, Shaunda Garner and Leslie Farlow; his great grandchildren, Joshua, Hunter, Billy, Justin, Jazper, Gorgeous, Mercedes, Colton, Thomas, Alex, Whitley, Braedon, Braddack, Lauren, Benjamin, Boston, Davis and Whit; and his great great grandchildren, Carson, Evie, Wrenley and Kamron.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fairview Church of Christ (14753 TN-22, Lexington, TN 38351). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery (693 Wildersville Rd, Parkers Crossroads, TN 38388).
