He is survived by: his children, Nelson Reeves, Jr. (Angie) and Reatha Tharp (Philip); his wife Billie Jean Holmes Reeves; his stepdaughter Debra Casteel (Danny); his siblings, Hubert Reeves, Judy Hendrix (Glen) and Bettie Jane Mobley (Henry); his granddaughters, Brooklyn Hudson (John Ross), Candace Boyd, Alyssa Lynn Reeves and Allyson Carmon Reeves; and his great grandchildren, Greyde Ross Hudson, Lyndie Brooke Hudson and Case Riley Reeves. He is also survived by five step grandchildren, and ten step great grandchildren.
