She was predeceased by: her son James Perry Woods; her parents, John Hughes and Mildred Cunningham; and her siblings, Nancy Smith, Debbie Wilbanks, Julian Hughes and Barry Hughes.
She is survived by: her husband Tommy Shelton; her children, Rebecca Dempsey (Paul), Tim Shelton (Paula), Tracy Shelton (Amber), Chris Hinson, Lance Shelton (Genny) and Brooks Shelton (Misty); her daughter-in-law Julia Clement (Terry); and her siblings, Donna King (Donny), Stanley Wilbanks (Susan) and Stephen Hughes (Joyce). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be given to St Jude's Hospital or Carl Perkins Child's Advocacy Center.
