She was predeceased by: her husband Milton Gowan; and her parents, John Milam and Estelle Douglas Milam. She is survived by: her children, Ricky Gowan (Gayle), James Gowan (Julia), William Gowan (Andrea), Carol Jowers (Rodney) and Patty Gibson (Tim); her sister June Moore; and her grandchildren, Jared Gowan, Travis Gowan, Jacob Gowan, Emily Lowrance, Kayla Cathey, Anna Norwood, Myles Gibson, Avery Gibson, Ashley Matthews, Dallas Jowers, Dakota Jowers, Addalyn Gowan, Alyssa Gowan and Alaina Gowan. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
