It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Neal Moffitt of Lexington, Tennessee, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint John Neal leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie Ruth Murren Moffitt and Jess Willard Moffitt; and his brother Sidney Moffit (Vickie). He is survived by: his siblings, Samuel Moffitt, Randall Moffitt (Dana), Jimmy Moffitt, Annette Greenway (Claude), Jane Wood (John) and Cindy Moffitt Yelverton (Jimmy); and his children, John Neal Moffitt Jr., Robbie Mckenzie (Roy), Bryan Moffitt (Melissa), Tracy Moffitt and Ashley Moffitt Hart (Courtney). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
