He is survived by: his wife Peggy Burroughs Stewart; his son James B. Stewart, III (Debbie) of Clinton, TN; his grandchildren, John Robert Bridges III, Jaimi Martha Winningham (Daniel) and Matthew Benton Stewart (Britney); and his great grandchildren, Piper Nicole Winningham and Roman James Stewart. He is also survived by several step-children, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Rock Hill Baptist Church (575 Rock Hill Rd, Lexington, TN 38351). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM.
