He is survived by : his wife Linda Bingham Cox; his children, Lisa Kegley, Jeffery Smith (Virginia), Mary Cox and Jonathan Cox (Alicia); his sister Myrtle Cox McNabb; his grandchildren, Justin Smith (Regina), Cassie Winters (Rusty), Mallory Harmon (Joe), Jeremy Kegley, Shawn Blankenship, Sebrina Creasy, Jase Creasy, Grayson Smith and Graylee Cox; and his great grandchildren, River, Jenna, Carson and Carter.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Reed's Chapel (113 S West St, Decaturville, TN 38329). A burial was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 at the Palestine Cemetery (6440 TN-22 Alt, Lexington, TN 38351).
