He was predeceased by: his daughter Teresa Ann Wood; and his parents, James Arthur Bain and Hazel Allen. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Bain; his sons, James Bain and Arthur L. Bain; his siblings, Sandra Jowers, Juan Bain and Donald Bain; his grandchildren, Ashton Grimsley, Phoebe Bain and Hannah Wood; and his great grandchildren, Zachary Mooney, Mason Grimsley, Andrew Grimsley and Madison Grimsley.
