He was predeceased by: his father Walter Bly Poteete. He is survived by: his wife Janice Poteete; his daughter Pamela Denise Clifford; his siblings, Wesley Ray Poteete (Nancy), Nell Richmond (Robert), Viola George (Freddie) and Emma Spray (Danny); his granddaughter Brittany Mertens; and his niece Shelia Chilton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
