With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Petty (Lewisburg, Tennessee), who passed away on September 6, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hatton Petty and Bessie Petty; his siblings, James Petty (Margaret) and Ruth Moore (Edward); and his son-in-law Ray Locke.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Martin Petty; his children, Peggy Lynnette Locke of Lewisburg, Merrili O'Neal of Murfreesboro and Jason Petty (Debbie) of Lewisburg, TN.; his grandchildren, Miles Lawrie, Alyson Lawrie of Nashville, TN, Preston O'Neal, IV of Murfreesboro, TN, Shelby O'Neal of Nashville, TN, Ethan, Lauren and Grayson Petty of Lewisburg, TN.; and his nieces and nephews, Jerry Petty (Betsy), Judy Smith, Doug Elmore (Sabrina), Candy Crigger (Anthony), Terry Martin (Melinda), Lisa Averitt (Jimmy) and Dr. Martin Poarch (Melissa).
The family suggest that those attending follow CDC guidelines on social distancing and face masks are encouraged.
