She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Herman and Eula Dockery Purdom; her husband J. B. Gipson; and her brother Jimmy Purdom. She is survived by: her daughter Teresa Liggett (Wayne) of Murfreesboro; and her granddaughter Brandi Hargrove (Tye) of Murfreesboro. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, two half brothers, and two half sisters.
