He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Nathaniel Gordon and Annie Velma Garrett Gordon; his daughter Sherry Elaine Gordon Everette; and his siblings, Sarah Elaine Gordon and David Garrett Gordon.
He is survived by: his wife Emily L. Gordon of Lewisburg, TN; his children, Lana Gordon Thames (Kerry) of Birmingham, AL, Gina Gordon Harbison (Kirk) of Pinson, AL, Trina Gordon Slappey of Guntersville, AL, John David Pierce II (Donna) of Lewisburg, TN and Andrew L. Pierce (Pam) of Lewisburg, TN; and his brothers, Tom L. Gordon (Virginia) of Micanopy, FL, Bobby Gene Gordon (Joyce) of Bagdab, FL and Terry L. Gordon (Jodie) of Abbeville, GA. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church (3347 Franklin Pike, Lewisburg, TN 37091).
