He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucy Allen and Henderson Jack Allen; and his siblings, Lacy Mai Morris, Sylvia O'Neal and George Lee Baxter.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Allen; his children, Eleanor Mason (Greg), Sandy Edmonson and Lee Allen; his brother J. W. Allen (Sally); and his siblings-in-law, James Henery Gregory (Barbara), Oscar Gregory (Julie), George E. Gregory (Louise), Robert Gregory (Teresa), Herman Gregory, Martha Ann Wright and Allene Gadson (Larry). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
