He was predeceased by: his parents, John Milton and Alene Horne Stephenson; his wife Ruby Jewell Williams Stephenson; his siblings, Mabel Bryson, Bessie Tidwell, Elizabeth Cozart, Sue Cozart and Ed Stephenson; and his son Larry A. Stephenson.
He is survived by: his sons, Dennis K. Stephenson (Denise) of Holly Springs, NC and Gregory J. Stephenson (Carolyn) of Leoma, TN; and his daughter-in-law Teresa Stephenson (late Larry Stephenson) of Muscle Shoals, AL. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
