With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Annie Jewell Sims Burgess of Leoma, Tennessee, who passed away on March 31, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Addron A. Sims and Lydia Luffman Sims; her husband Thomas E. Burgess; her close friend Frank White; and her siblings, Nina Ayers Bailey, Charles Gregory and Everett Buddy Sims.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Craig of Oak Harbor, WA, Sheila Ramsey (Billy) of Leoma, TN and Lesa Grimes (Chris) of Summertown, TN; and her sisters, Betty "Kat" Hughes, Barbara Barnett and Myra Sue Haislip. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
