He is survived by: his sons, Patrick Mayfield (Jennifer) and Ruben Mayfield; his grandchildren, Erika and Jordan Mayfield; and his siblings, Duck, Buddy Mayfield, Nelda Thompson, Mary Bridgemon and Kathleen Curtis. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.
