He was predeceased by: his wife Linda P. Shockley; his parents, Kenneth Shockley and Anna Shockley; his siblings, Hazel Shultz, Helen Cox (Larry), Carlene Krumm (John) and Thomas Shockley; his siblings-in-law, Ann Presley (Bobby) and Bill Thompson; and his son-in-law John L. Frye.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Kenny Shockley (Laurie), Christie Frye, Charles Shockley (Patty), Wendy Shockley, Joy Farmer, Donald Shockley (Jaime), Katie Shockley (Todd), Chris Barbour (Jill), Jason Barbour (Lavonne), Becky Fritts (Brian) and Tammie Wampler (Chris); his siblings-in-law, Edie Shockley, Marty Snellgrove (David) and John Shultz; and his grandchildren, Lorrie Zeiger (Tod), Penny Higgins (Darren), Stacey Gumm (Mike), Jackson Shockley, Kendra Marasa (Vince), Kasady Willard, Jessica Burgin, Grant Farmer (Tiffany), Olivia Farmer, Emma Shockley, Thomas Walkney, Dylan, Vivian Shockley, Ashton Range (Tyler), Rileigh Barbour, Brianna, Madison, Cade Fritts, Jordan Newman (Cory) and Connor Barbour. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Highland Park Baptist Church (4333 US-11, Lenoir City, TN 37772). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tunnels to Towers Charity.
