John left this world on February 10, 2025 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his son Rev. Jamey Eugene Patterson; his parents, Herbert Patterson and Catherine Patterson; his brother Fred; his sister-in-law Kay Patterson; his parents-in-law, James and Mary Crox; and his brothers-in-law, Rev. Larry Bolden and Tommy Crox.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Patterson of Lenoir City; his daughter Missy Garner (Todd) of Lenoir City; his daughter-in-law Kim Patterson of Lenoir City; his grandchildren, Ashley Elliott (Josh) of Murfreesboro, Katie Fox (Jacob) of Lenoir City, Drew Garner of Lenoir City and Audrey Patterson of Lenoir City; his great grandchildren, Kenley and Caroline of Murfreesboro; his sisters, Retta Bolden of Kingston, Teenie Lawson (John) of Blaine and Dee McDonald (Jim); his sister-in-law Becky Crox of Lenoir City; and his close friend Tommy Patterson of Lenoir City.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cave Creek Missionary Baptist Church (396 Harvey Rd, Kingston, TN 37763). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Cave Creek Cemetery (390 Harvey Rd, Kingston, TN 37763).
