He was predeceased by: his father Donald Matthews. He is survived by: his mother Ludie Odell Hines Matthews; his wife Jean Henson Matthews; and his siblings, Jeff Matthews (Gina), Debbie Bartley (Allen) and Ronald Matthews (Becky). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and friends.
