She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Taylor and Annie Louise Johnson Taylor; her husband Lester Ray Nixon; her daughter Tammy Brown; her stepson Scottie Ray Nixon; and her siblings, Joyce Barrett, William and Harold Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa and Kim Goolsby (Steve); her stepdaughter Renee Wills; her brother Ronnie "Shorty" Taylor (Kathy); and her son-in-law Charles Brown. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
