He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carney and Elsie Forte Dickerson; and his siblings, John C. Dickerson Jr., Katherine Burris, Jean Parrish, Louise Luck and James D. Dickerson.
He is survived by: his wife Jewell Lannom Dickerson; his daughters, Jennifer Haddock (Dwight) and Sarah Woods (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Evie Cheng (Harry), Turner Haddock (Maddie), Amelia Haddock, Mary Keith Haddock, Baylor Woods, Lily Beth Woods and Claire Woods; his great grandchildren, Elsie and Harrison Cheng; his sisters, Dorothy Walker and Marilyn Head; and his siblings-in-law, Patsy Maynard (Claude) and Phillip Lannom (Roxy). He is also survived by other loving nieces and nephews.
