He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert Medlin, Jr. and Janie Faye Moore Medlin; and his siblings, Janeen Holmes, Brenda Medlin and Robert Medlin.
He is survived by: his wife Dot Medlin; his sons, Jeff Medlin (Jennifer) of Mt. Juliet, Joe Medlin of Lebanon and Jim Medlin (Andrea) of Murfreesboro; his grandchildren, Gregg Medlin, Kassie Burkeen (Tim), Cory Rogers (Ivy), Caroline Medlin, David Medlin, Katherine Dempsy (Edward), Mark Medlin, Fletcher Medlin, Avery Medlin, Addison Medlin and Henry Medlin; his great grandchild Nora Burkeen; and his brothers, Kenneth Medlin (Judy) and Doug Medlin (Patricia). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
