She was predeceased by: her parents, Ester Kemp and Osa Kemp; her husband Robert F. Steakley; her siblings, Thelma Kemp, Shirley Carr (Charles) and Roger Kemp; her brother-in-law James Collier; her niece Angela Barker; her nephews, Joey Kemp, Dwight Collier and Timmy Collier; and her granddaughter Makenzie Rollins.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Hackett (Rhonda) and Marli Garcia (Rudy); her sister Ramona Collier; her sister-in-law Kay Kemp; her grandchildren, Kelsey Salisbury (Graham), Kaleb Hackett, Paige Justice, Olivia Rollins, Brandon Garcia (Ashton), Austin Garcia and Melanie Comstock; her great grandchildren, Hunter, Chloe, Dawson, Harlen, Kyler, Tatum, Alden, Cole, Everly, Finn, Trevor, Teegan, Parker and Luke; her close friend Virginia Wiser; and her pet Fen.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Grace Life Baptist Church in memory of Marie.
