He was predeceased by: his wife Thersa Ann Franklin (McClanahan); his parents, Comer Franklin and Milbra Franklin (Anderson); and his siblings, Holland "Buddy", Don Franklin, Jo Emily Turner (Russell) and Delores "Dot" Crunk (Newman).
He is survived by: his son Jon Franklin (Karen).
