He was predeceased by: his daughter Tonya Franklin; the mother of his children Viola Franklin; and his sisters, Shirley Alexander and Patty Shields. He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Ward; his grandchildren, Nikki Hill, Brooke Perry and Keely Ward; his great grandchildren, Malani McGee, Ava Ward and Allie Ward; and his siblings, Rusty Franklin, Rick Franklin, Billie Sue Stewart (Rick) and Debbie Sandefur (Jerry).
