He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Franklin Givens and Jodella Hudson Givens; his children, William David Givens and Joyce Marie Jones; his brother Thomas Hudson Givens; and his granddaughter Sarah Morgan Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruth Rogers Givens; his grandchildren, Kathryn Givens Rose, Jared Maxwell Givens (Katie) and Ashley Jones; his great grandchildren, Addilyn Grace and Grady Maxwell Givens; and his sister Frankie Floyd (Jimmy).
