She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward S. Crawford and Josephine Allen Crawford; her husband Fred Murphy; her daughters, Virginia Harlin and Rebecca Ann Winfree; her sister Martha Armistead Geldreich; her daughter-in-law Becky Winfree; her stepson Fred Smith "Smitty" Murphy; and the father of her children Francis Odell Winfree.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Winfree, Robert Winfree (Debra) and Kenneth Winfree. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
