He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy McPeak and Magdalene McPeak; his wife Betty McPeak; and his siblings, Margaret West, Coyalene Laine and George McPeak.
He is survived by: his children, Donita Doak, Ken Nelson (Mi-Li) and James Nelson (Sarah); and his grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Allura, Kenslea, Kenadea, Zach, Jayme, Jarrett, Olivia, Julianne and Owen. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
