He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Manning and Unity Manning; his brother James Manning; and his granddaughter Brittany Manning. He is survived by: his wife Louise Manning; his sons, Andy Manning (Tina) and Chuck Manning (Sara); his grandchildren, Justin Manning (Karly), Ryne Manning, Jake Manning (Katie), Ty Manning, Danielle Manning, Lindsay Manning (James Swash) and Bailey Manning; his great grandchildren, Karly Manning, Jace Manning and Tatum Brinley; and his sister-in-law Barbara Manning.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Partlow Funeral Chapel (602 S Cumberland St, Lebanon, TN 37087). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
His remarkable contributions to the sport were honored with his induction into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
