He was predeceased by: his former wife Betty Edwards Jones; his wife Macy L. Johnson Jones; his son Richard Jones; his parents, Clyde Jones and Pearl Jones; and his siblings, Gene Jones, Ernie Jones, Bill Jones and Martha Haynes.
He is survived by: his children, Gladys Watson (John) and Benny, Jr. (Donna); his sisters, Mary Whitson and Ruth Newman (Doug); and his brother-in-law Ralph Haynes. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
