With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William Sanders Stanton Sr. (Lawrenceburg, Tennessee), born in Cookeville, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Louise Brewer Stanton; his parents, Layton Ferrell and Florene Cornwell Stanton; his son Layton Randall Stanton; and his granddaughter Shannon Alexandria Meek.
He is survived by: his children, William S. Stanton, Jr. (Nancy) of Atlanta, Georgia, Nancy Anne Primeaux of Denver and Carolyn Elizabeth Stanton (Vonnie) of Greenville; and his grandchildren, Tyler Stanton, Bryan Stanton, Kyle Stanton, Braidyn McNamara and Zachary McNamara. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Neal Funeral Home (231 N Military Ave, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
