He was predeceased by: his parents, Hargis Gibson and LaVada Callahan Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Gibson of Lawrenceburg, TN; his children, Bradley S. Gibson of Auburn, IN and Lori J. Durre of Hicksville, OH; and his siblings, Roland Gibson of Antwerp, OH, Tim Gibson of Hicksville, OH, Belinda Dunbar of Fort Wayne, IN, Betsy Rice of Cecil, OH and Claryln McClain of Napoleon, OH. He is also survived by two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters.

The family suggests memorials be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School in Lawrenceburg, TN.
