It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shelby Jean Cox of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, who passed away on December 2, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aubrey Howell and Elsie Mae Bassham Howell; her siblings, Shirley Wilburn, Gail Nave and Glynn L. Howell; and her son-in-law Adam Walters.
She is survived by: her husband Archie E. Cox of Lawrenceburg, TN; her daughter Melinda Cox Walters of Lawrenceburg, TN; her granddaughter Aubrie Walters of Lawrenceburg, TN; and her aunt Alice Bassham of Lawrenceburg, TN. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org/research.
