He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Frances Pollock Edwards; his parents, Carl Wilburn Edwards and Brownie Mae Sweeney Hollaway; his sister Patricia Ann Edwards; and his son-in-law Timothy Joseph Nolan.
He is survived by: his children, Dana Edwards Nolan, Ronald Douglas "Doug" Edwards, Daniel Jay Edwards (Stephanie) of Lawrenceburg, Don Mark Edwards (Ariane) of Berlin and Jonathan Andrew "Drew" Edwards (Brooke) of Phil Campbell; and his pets, Koko, Babe, Dolly and Sweeney. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Family suggests memorials be made to Kid's Place A Child Advocacy Center or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
