He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Davis and Frances Crews Shay. He is survived by: his son Richard "Taz" Davis of Lawrenceburg, TN; his sisters, Debbie Davis of Lawrenceburg, TN and Susanne Owens (Marvin) of Lawrenceburg, TN; and his grandchildren, Haven Myhan and Zoey Vaughn.

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
