He is survived by: his wife Mary "Missie" Ayers of Henryville, TN; his children, Erin Terry of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Shea Adams (Brian) of Summertown, TN, Jill McDonald (David) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Josh Terry (Sarah) of New Market, MD; his grandchildren, Jayson Michael, Sidda, Bear, Thatcher, Greer, Madden, Triston, Tucker, Ellie, Brock and Brook; and his siblings, Charlynn Calton (Stoney) of Summertown, TN, Glen Ayers (Kathy) of Summertown, TN, LeAnn Shrader (Kenneth) of Summertown, TN and Roy Ayers (Sandy) of Summertown, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
