She was predeceased by: her husband Leo Phillips; her parents, Frank Newton and Lutie King Newton; and her siblings, Hattie Lee Harris, Donna Mae Johnson (Enos), Robert Newton (Jo Earle) and Oscar Newton (Geneva).
She is survived by: her sons, Rodney Phillips (Susan) and David Phillips (Betty); her grandsons, Brad Phillips (Leigh Anne Landis), Drew Phillips (Julia) and Evan Phillips; her great grandchildren, Liam Phillips, Andrew Phillips and Indy Phillips; her siblings, James Newton (Linda) and Sue McMahan (William); her close friend Haley Stout; and her caregivers, Bre, Tia, Rosland, Stormy and Donna. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leoma Baptist Church.
