It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mardell Whaley of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, born in Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on October 18, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Tom and Gracie Mae Anders; her husband James Whaley of Huntsville; her daughters, Kelly Evette Tate of Huntsville and Tammy Gracette Damron of Huntsville; and her siblings, Robert Anders of Huntsville, Charles Anders of Huntsville, Douglas Anders of Tampa, FL and Louise Atchley of Huntsville.
She is survived by: her children, Conchetia Curtis of Lawrenceburg, TN, Henry Robert "Rodney" Tate Jr. (Kim) of Pulaski, TN and John Mark Whaley; her sister Laverne Dunson of Huntsville; her sister-in-law Barbara Anders (Charles) of Monterey, TN.; and her granddaughters, Erica Curtis Sanders, Tabitha Curtis, Kayla Rutherford Hernandez, Kelly Tate and Audrey Spray. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
