He is survived by: his son Shawn Colwell of Smithville; his grandchildren, Taylor and Cody; and his sisters, Fay Melton (Tip) of Killen, AL and Geneva Tidrick (Jack) of Murfreesboro. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
