He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershel Porter and Grace Putnam Porter; and his wife Evonna Brown Porter. He is survived by: his sons, Tim Porter of Lawrenceburg, TN, Steve Porter (Carleen) of Murfreesboro, TN and Gary Porter (Pam) of Murfreesboro, TN; his grandchildren, Kari Brooks (Eric) of Murfreesboro, TN, Cameron Porter (Stacey) of Murfreesboro, TN, Wesley Porter (Carly) of Austin, TX and Natalie Porter of Nashville, TN; and his siblings, Delton Porter (Martha) of Portland, TN, Dwight Porter (Nelda) of Goodlettsville, TN, Preston Porter (Ann) of Lexington, AL and Myra Barnett (Charles) of Huntsville, AL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
