He was predeceased by: his parents, G. F. Gibbs and Ledia Kranz Gibbs; his sisters, Aleda Gibbs Mitchell, Gilberta Ruth Bail and Norma Grace Pyle; and his great grandchild Alexa Claire Gibbs.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Gibbs; his children, Nina Busby (Kevin), Brent Gibbs (Darlene) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Rex Gibbs (Cindy) of Lawrenceburg, TN; and his sister Mary Duke of Franklin, TN. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
