He was predeceased by: his son John Beckman Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Jessica Edwardsen and Savannah Van Eyzeren; his grandchildren, Leland Edwardsen-Beckman, Meadow Edwardsen, Thayne Van Eyzeren, Deacon Van Eyzeren and Owen Armstrong; and his close friend Sarah Newton.
